There are about 123,000 children waiting for adoptive families in the United States foster care system. Today, there are over 143 million orphans in the world. Every child deserves a family to love and to be loved by. To be involved in adoption, does not mean that you have to adopt a child. By participating in the SOLE 2 SOUL run/walk, you will make a difference. You will help adoptive families come one step closer to bringing home a child that is waiting to have a family and no longer be a statistics.
Before we got married, we discussed our future and we both agreed that adoption would be a way in which we would build our family in addition to having biological children. In 2002, we welcomed our son Elijah into the world, adopting him at birth. We, as a family, are excited to once again be journeying down the road of adoption. Over the years, we have had many failed adoptions, but know that we must press forward to bring our kids home.
It is our pleasure and with great excitement that we are hosting the 1st annual SOLE 2 SOUL run/walk, with many more to come throughout the years. Many families and children will benefit from your participation in the event.
